Bhagavad-Gita Club
Description
Providing a friendly environment to any interested students, faculty, and staff to enjoy the benefits of bhakti yoga and mediation, as well as delicious varieties of vegetarian food. The club also features interesting talks on the Bhagavad-Gita, which is the most famous scripture of wisdom from India. Some of the other exciting activities of the Bhagavad-Gita Club include feeding the homeless in Baltimore, performing service for the temple, and educating the UMBC campus about Indian culture through the Festival of India event. The aim of the Bhagavad-Gita Club at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) is to contribute to the general enrichment of student experience. This club contributes to the advancement of the University's academic mission and enhances opportunities for leadership, service, and cultural-and-social exchange. The Bhagavad-Gita Club also addresses the well-being of the campus community by promoting positive mental health. The members of the Bhagavad-Gita Club are very conscientious to abide by all of the UMBC rules and regulations as well as local and federal laws.
