Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS)
Description
Representing the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), creating diversity and making strides in all aspects of medicine and patient care. MAPS has a great interest in increasing the number of physicians of color entering the workforce. Through community service and dedication to eliminating ethnic health disparities, we strive to provide ourselves and those around us with a larger sense of being. This organization will also prepare members for the MCAT and applications to medical school. It will also provide mentorship through our sponsor SNMA Chapter at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine.
